The complementary colors of orange and blue really make this photo stand out, even though the butterflies aren't a striking blue, but the warmth of the orange really makes them stand out.
The stems in this photo make for really nice lines that lead you straight to the butterflies.
The shallow DOF helps make the butterflies the center of attention, otherwise the photo would be too busy.
Also, it's nice how the photographer did not center them, that they are a bit off to the right. It makes this photo more dynamic and interesting.
